The E.U. threaten that Great Britain will be fined many millions of Euros? if we make trade deals with other countries before leaving the E.U.

The President of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull, is anxious to make an expansive trade deal with Britain once we leave the E.U. but haven't we already left?  If it was a sports club and I decided to leave, it would take effect immediately and dues would not be paid after that month! Why then do we feel the need to stay in this E.U. club and continue to pay dues every week to them.

Why can't Theresa May and friends just say 'to hell with it, we're out and that's that! Like it or lump it, we aren't paying anymore dues to this club as from Friday!'.

The latest news is that Article 50 should be invoked at the beginning of 2017 and that gives us two years of negotiations before we are officially out. Now the E.U. are saying that their team will not be ready to negotiate until the end of 2017.  My guess is that they will never be ready and we need to take the initiative ourselves. We should invoke Article 50 now and get on with it.

Nigel Farage, former leader of UKIP, predicts that by the time Article 50 takes effect, there will be no E.U. to come out of.  He could well be right. I hope he is because there are so many holes in that bucket, that it has become totally irreparable.
